Satisfied Desire vs. Abiding Tranquility (September 5)

This Sunday’s Dharma talk will contrast the fleeting satisfaction of the five worldly desires for wealth, sensual pleasure, food, fame, and sleep with the abiding tranquility of Nirvana, in which the flames of greed, anger and delusion are permanently extinguished. This insight is one of the Three Dharma Seals (Impermanence, No-self, and Nirvana), the essential perspectives reflected in all authentic Buddhist teachings.
