A Good Listener Is Like a Wastebasket (August 24)

We warmly welcome you to join us in person at the San Mateo Buddhist Temple for our Family Dharma Service on Sunday, August 24.

This Sunday, Rev. Adams will share a Dharma Talk inspired by Rev. Naoki Nabeshima who teaches that a good listener in times of crisis is like a wastebasket that accepts whatever is unburdened without rejection or judgement. One who listens with ears that are opened by the Buddha’s compassion hears the precious dreams and love that are conveyed amidst feelings of disappointment and heartache.
