Interfaith Service at the Tanforan Memorial (April 27)

KINDLY NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO SAN MATEO BUDDHIST TEMPLE HYBRID ZOOM SERVICE ON SUNDAY, APRIL 27.

On Sunday, April 27 at 10:00 a.m. Sturge Presbyterian Church, Konko Church of San Francisco, and the San Mateo Buddhist Temple welcome you to join us for an outdoor Interfaith Service of Remembrance at the Tanforan Memorial in San Bruno. (MAP)

The Tanforan Assembly Center opened 83 years ago on April 28th, 1942. We encourage community members of all faith traditions to join us for this meaningful service of remembrance and reflection.

There will also be an opportunity to visit the historical photo and information exhibit inside the San Bruno BART station free of charge. The memorial, where we will have service, is directly in front of the BART station.

Significance of this date: the Tanforan Assembly Center opened on April 28th, 1942, exactly 82 years ago. We hope Sangha members will join this meaningful service.

If you arrive at 9:30, please take the opportunity to visit the Photo Gallery inside the San Bruno BART station. The memorial, where we will have service, is directly in front of BART station.
