Eyes That See What Is Truly Precious (August 18)

This Sunday, Rev. Henry will share the story of how the Buddha saw the true value of a humble gift from the devout woman Nanda, who, despite living in poverty, made an offering that surpassed the generosity of the wealthiest king.

This talk is part of our summertime Dharma Services at the San Mateo Buddhist Temple, focusing on the six special powers of the Buddha and other enlightened beings: traveling, seeing, hearing, understanding others, understanding how the past affects the present, and not falling back into bad habits.
